Practical skills with traditional values

Shinzen-ki Shotokan Karate Club teaches traditional Shotokan karate with strong ethics, family-friendly instruction, self-defence, pad work, groundwork and weapons fundamentals.

Training may include Nunchaku, Tambo, Bo Staff, Sai, Tonfa and Sword work. The instructor team is DBS checked, with first aid training.

Respect, discipline and tradition

Gichin Funakoshi is widely recognised as the founder of Shotokan karate and helped introduce karate from Okinawa to mainland Japan.

Shinzen-ki Shotokan Karate Club follows traditional Shotokan values: respect, discipline, strong basics, kata, control and steady progress.

Training is built around focus, etiquette and improvement at every level, from new starters through to senior grades.
